Alastair Barrie
Director, global head of hedge fund sales
Alastair joined Martin Currie in 2009 and is responsible for our global hedge fund sales. He came to us from RBS Asset Management where he was director of institutional business. Before that, he spent 12 years with Henderson Global Investors, where he started out as a regional sales consultant for Scotland and Northern Ireland. During his time at the company, Alastair was variously director of global distributor sales, director of global hedge fund sales and, latterly, director of UK wholesale distribution (while retaining his hedge fund position). He began his career as a broker consultant with Friends Provident.
