Martin Currie Charitable Foundation’s
sixth anniversary
Launched in 2006, the staff-run Martin Currie Charitable Foundation celebrated its sixth anniversary in January 2012. In this time, over £2.5 million has been awarded to good causes across a broad range of categories, including health, welfare, international aid, the environment, education, community and culture. We have also supported our network of offices in London and around the world, enabling locally based staff to support local needs on behalf of the Foundation.

Donations
In 2011 Martin Currie contributed £130,000 to our Foundation. As in previous years, £80,000 was invested to ensure the ongoing success of the Rob Roy Challenge. With the remaining £50,000, we were able to make a range of smaller donations to over 60 charities, which are listed in our 2011 Annual Review, which you can download from this site.
Volunteering
Volunteering can be as valuable to the communities we support as cash donations. It also enables our staff to develop new skills and grow, both as individuals and teams. Each member of staff has an allowance of up to three days a year to devote to volunteering.
