A US national, Andy joins from CQS, a global multi-strategy firm, where he worked in the capacity of Principal, Business Development and Consultant Relations Director. Prior to that and based in San Fransisco, Andy held similar roles at GLG Partners, Panagora Asset Management and Lazard.
Mel Bucher, Executive Vice President, Head of North America at Martin Currie comments:
"The size and scale of the US pension market offers a significant opportunity for our business and a deep pool for asset gatherers. Our ambition is to build on the presence we have established on the east coast, and in the mid west of the US, by having an experienced well-connected business development sales professional, to capitalise on relationships he has already developed with distributors and consultants in the region."
Martin Currie manages US$19bn and has a growing US public plan client base with wide recognition of its emerging market equity capabilities.
