Martin Currie strengthens presence in US Institutional market with appointment of Andrew Hahn

Martin Currie has strengthened its US Institutional business team with the appointment of Andy Hahn as Vice President, North America, Sales and Client Service. Based in San Francisco, Andy reports directly to Mel Bucher, Executive Vice President, Head of North America.

Recruited to enhance the US sales team’s distribution capabilities, Andy brings with him a proven record of raising institutional assets in both long only equities and alternatives. With over 16 years’ investment experience, Andy has developed a well-established network of contacts in the West Coast of the United States which will open up a new opportunity set for Martin Currie and enable the asset manager, as a global equity specialist, to further develop a pipeline of interest from institutional investors in the US Western region.

A US national, Andy joins from CQS, a global multi-strategy firm, where he worked in the capacity of Principal, Business Development and Consultant Relations Director. Prior to that and based in San Fransisco, Andy held similar roles at GLG Partners, Panagora Asset Management and Lazard.
