As Martin Currie’s Head of Investment Risk, Trading and Quant, Paul is responsible for investment risk, quantitative analysis, trading and all aspects of investment technology. In addition, he oversees the development of process, people and strategy in these areas, working with clients and prospects externally and Martin Currie’s investment teams internally. Paul sits on the boards of Martin Currie Fund Management Limited and MC Inc, the group alternative investment fund manager, and is active in a number of industry groups, including the CFA UK Scottish committee and received the CFA UK volunteer leader of the year award in 2017. Paul has 25 years’ experience advising investment managers on portfolio construction and risk. Before joining Martin Currie in 2005, he spent 10 years with Britannic Asset Management. He is a CFA® charterholder and an associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (UKSIP). He holds an MSc in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling and a BSc in Maths and Economics from the University of Strathclyde.
