We are delighted to announce that Martin Currie’s Zehrid Osmani has been awarded the highest AAA rating from Citywire. The rating measures individual fund manager performance across all the funds that a manager runs taking account of a three-year performance record and are updated every month. In order to be rated, a fund manager will need to beat his or her benchmark over a three-year period.
Fewer than 25% of the managers Citywire track achieve a rating, and Zehrid joins an even more elite grouping in the 10% of managers to attain the AAA status.
Zehrid has commented that "although the ratings are awarded on an individual basis, I work with a very talented and dedicated team of colleagues who combine investment management, long term sector research expertise and accountancy backgrounds".
‘If anything the rating is a strong advocacy of the philosophy and processes we have in place. Our portfolios focus on best ideas, delivered in a high-conviction way. We establish conviction levels on any stock we hold through our proprietary analytical framework and ensure that all of our holdings express our strong convictions on business model, competitive positioning, structural growth outlook, returns profile and potential for further improvements
‘Ultimately, we believe this enables the identification of companies with high management quality, strong balance sheets and cash flows, and therefore an ability to generate high returns and attractive growth profiles.
