Patrick is a Research Analyst in the Martin Currie Australia (MCA) Investment team. Patrick specialises in fundamental research of the Australian healthcare and media sectors.

Patrick joined MCA’s predecessor firm in August 2008, after co-managing a boutique fund, Emerging Growth Capital Investors, which focused on biotechnology, life science and healthcare companies. Prior to this, Patrick has worked at AusIndustry, Intelligent Investor, and the Commonwealth Bank. Additionally,

Before joining the finance industry, Patrick spent six years in medical research, and His experience in medical science provides unique insights into the biotechnology and healthcare industries.

Patrick has a Bachelor of Science, and a PhD of Philosophy (Neurophysiology) from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. Patrick is also a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
