Yulia joined Martin Currie in March 2020 and is a portfolio manager on our Global Long-Term Unconstrained team. Yulia has team process accountability for thematics and her sector research coverage includes Technology, Media and Telecoms and Financials.
Yulia joined Martin Currie from BlackRock, where she was a Director within the Fundamental Active Equities’ Global team, working, amongst others, on some of their unconstrained mandates. Prior to this, she was a senior associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, covering Materials and Energy. Previously she spent three years at Credit Suisse, starting as an analyst in Global Industrial Investment Banking (M&A) before becoming an associate within their Equity Research team covering Building Materials. Yulia began her career in 2008 as an M&A analyst at Rothschild, Moscow.
Yulia has a specialist diploma (Hons.) in Economics with a specialisation in Finance/Investment Valuation from the Financial University, Moscow. In 2018, Yulia also successfully completed an executive education programme “Value investing (online): intelligent investment decision” at Columbia Business School.
