It Takes All Kinds of Minds (ITAKOM) 2023 Conference

In 2022, Martin Currie became one of the first partner firms of a new programme designed to support neurodivergent employees in Scotland (The Neuroinclusion at Work Programme).

Partnering with neurodiversity charity Salvesen Mindroom, Martin Currie were proud sponsors of Rory Bremner’s Big Talk at the It Takes All Kinds of Minds (ITAKOM) conference. The conference was about neurodivergence, and focused on educating and sharing experiences with academic, healthcare, and workplace professionals.

Jennifer Mair, Chief Operating Officer commented:

Understanding neurodiversity is an important part of this cultural journey. Harnessing the power of unique perspectives to help us make great decisions for our clients is what we what we are all about. In order to make great decisions, we know we must create the culture and conditions for everyone to thrive and fulfil their potential. It was a fabulous opportunity to see people of all kinds coming together to embrace the differences between people and discuss the far-reaching concept of neurodiversity.

Linda Turnbull, Client Manager - Due Diligence commented:

The ITAKOM conference highlighted the importance of harnessing the skills of a neuro-inclusive workforce. By facilitating an environment that encourages neuro-inclusion, organisations benefit from a mix of talent which enriches diversity of thought, bringing unique perspectives and skills to the workplace. This is often a key untapped advantage.
