
Yulia is a Portfolio Manager on our Global Long-Term Unconstrained team and leads the Technology research pod within the team. Yulia has diverse sector experience across various cyclical sectors, which has kept her grounded through multiple economic cycles and is now enhancing her ability to connect the dots across value chains.
Yulia joined Martin Currie from BlackRock, where she was promoted to a Director within Fundamental Active Equities’ Global team, working, amongst others, on some of its unconstrained mandates. Prior to this, Yulia was as an Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse in London. Yulia started her career, amidst the Global Financial Crisis, in 2008 at Rothschild in Moscow in Mergers & Acquisitions.
Yulia has a Finance degree (Hons) from the Financial University in Moscow. In 2024, Yulia completed the Diversity Project’s Pathway Programme, aimed at developing future female Portfolio Managers, and received the “Driven to Learn” award in memory of Suzanne Hutchins. Yulia is most passionate about investment performance, aspires to be a lifetime learner and believes in the mind-body connection (trained as a certified yoga teacher in the past).
