Investment Analyst

Zhang Yu joined the Asia team (based in Edinburgh) as an Associate Investment Analyst in 2018, having previously worked in Martin Currie’s representative office in China from 2012, most recently as an Investment Research Assistant. She is responsible for researching the healthcare sector in Asia. Prior to this role, she worked for UK Quercus Associates, a British-owned private investment company.

Zhang Yu received Bachelor of Finance and Bachelor of English Language Studies qualifications in 2005 from Hebei University of Economics & Business, China, and has an MSc in Commerce from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Zhang Yu is a CFA® charterholder, obtained a professional qualification in Mandarin and English translation, and is a native speaker of Mandarin.
