Zhang Yu

Yu is an Investment Analyst in our Asia team. She joined the team in Edinburgh as an Associate Investment Analyst in 2018, having previously worked in Martin Currie’s representative office in China as an Investment Research Assistant. She is responsible for researching stocks in the healthcare and consumer sectors. Yu finds great satisfaction in investment research, a field that resonates with her natural tendency to seek truth and grasp the fundamental nature of issues.

Prior to joining Martin Currie, Yu worked as an Analyst for UK Quercus Associates, a British-owned private investment company. She received Bachelor of Finance and Bachelor of English Language Studies qualifications from Hebei University of Economics & Business, China, and has an MSc in Commerce from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Yu is a CFA® charterholder, obtained a professional qualification in Mandarin and English translation, and is a native speaker of Mandarin.

As a Chinese expat in Scotland, Yu loves to explore the stunning landscapes and rich culture of the country with her family during her time off.
