The Rob Roy Challenge is centered around the main hub at Kenmore within the grounds of Taymouth Castle right on the banks of Loch Tay.

Check-in open from 2:00pm until 9:00pm on the Friday and from 7.00am until 10.30am on the Saturday at the Kenmore Hub. Here you will be issued with all you need to safely complete the Challenge.
How do I get there?
FROM THE NORTH
At Ballinluig take the turning off the A9 signposted Aberfeldy and Killin and follow the A827 through Aberfeldy to Kenmore.
FROM THE SOUTH
From Stirling, follow the M90 north to Perth, followed by the A9 North towards Inverness.

The Hub is located right beside Kenmore Primary School, which is to the right of Kenmore Hotel, so if you are using GPS to get there, use the below address:

Free camping close to the beautiful banks of Loch Tay is provided for all participants and spectators from 3pm on Friday 21 June until Midday on Sunday 23 June. Just bring along your tent, pitch up and enjoy the weekend!

FRIDAY 21 - SUNDAY 23 JUNE
2.00pm – 9.00pm
Check-in will be open on Friday 21st June at the Kenmore Hub, Kenmore Playing Fields. Here you will be issued with all you need to complete in the Challenge and there will be the opportunity to ask questions. Free camping is available until Sunday morning.
6.00pm – 9.00pm
BBQ and Bar available at Kenmore Hub.
7.00am – 10.30am
Check-in on Saturday at Kenmore Hub for those who didn’t check-in the day before.
6.00am – 9pm
Bacon rolls and BBQ available at Kenmore Hub.
8.00am – 11.00am - KENMORE
Rolling Start for all participants doing Rob Roy Ramble, Big Red or Schiehallion’s Shadow
Be sure to get a good night's sleep for the early rise on the Saturday morning.
Anyone planning to RUN are asked to start after 10am so that waterstops en-route are ready to welcome you.
8.30am – 11.30am - URLAR
Urlar Waterstop - Volunteers Horseback UK
Runners or walkers reach waterstop 1 at Urlar Farm around 9 miles into the event.
9.00am – 1.00pm - LOCHAN
Lochan Waterstop - Volunteers Horseback UK
Runners or walkers reach the waterstop 2 at The Lochan
10.30am – 6.00pm - KENMORE
Checkpoint 1 (Kenmore Hub)
Runners or walkers reach Checkpoint 1 (waterstop 3) at Kenmore Hub after 14 miles
Rob Roy Ramble (Green route) participants complete their challenge here on arrival at Kenmore.
Big Red (Red route) and Schiehallion's Shadow (Black route) participants will make the quick change into their cycle gear and switch to bikes at the Kenmore transition zone and then pass through Checkpoint 2 - Bike Start at hub exit before leaving Kenmore heading for Kinloch Rannoch for the 35 and 56 mile cycle options.
BIKE START closes at 2pm
Big Red (Red route), Schiehallion’s Shadow (Black route) and Etape Rannoch (Purple route) must leave Kenmore by 2pm (the cut-off time)
Etape Rannoch (cycle only) should start between 11.30 and 2pm from Kenmore.
10.30am – 7.00pm - SCHIEHALLION JUNCTION
Waterstop 4 - Volunteers Maggies Cancer Care up until 3pm.
Backup volunteers to be confirmed for 3pm - 7pm slot.
Cyclists pass waterstop 4 at Schiehallion junction on their way to Kinloch Rannoch and again on their way back to Kenmore.
11.00am – 6.00pm - KINLOCH RANNOCH
Checkpoints 3 and 4 - Volunteers Marie Curie up to 2.30pm and NSPCC 2.30pm to 6pm
Big Red (Red route), Schiehallion's Shadow (Black route) and Etape Rannoch (Purple route) participants arrive at the Checkpoint 3 as they enter Kinloch Rannoch. Big Red participants turn back towards Kenmore, passing through Checkpoint 4 before heading back for the final 16 miles cycling.
Schiehallion's Shadow and Etape Rannoch challengers carry on around Loch Rannoch. They will be directed around the loch in a clockwise direction with Loch Rannoch on their right hand side, via Bridge of Gaur (waterstop 6) before returning to Kinloch Rannoch for a second time. They pass through Checkpoint 4 before heading back to Kenmore.
Be sure to pick up some snacks and water before the final road climb up towards Schiehallion. You can re-fuel at waterstop 4 again.
11.00am – 4.30pm - BRIDGE OF GUAR west end of Loch Rannoch
Waterstop 6 - Volunteers Cyrenians between 10.30- 2pm and SCAA 2pm - 5pm
Cut off time for cyclists continuing on from Kinloch Rannoch:
Any Schiehallion’s Shadow or Etape Rannoch participants who reach Checkpoint 3 at Kinloch Rannoch after 5pm will automatically be diverted on to Big Red route (return to Kenmore rather than continuing on round Loch Rannoch.)
12.15am - 8.00pm
FINISH at Kenmore. BBQ and camping available.
